Giuseppe Tillieci, aka Neel, grew up in Curinga, southern Italy. Neel has always been fascinated by electronic music and the technical aspects behind it. Pushing his curiosity a notch further, he built his first mixer at the age of 13. He developed his own personal taste for experimental sounds at the University of Music in Rome and subsequently in Rotterdam. In that period Neel found his obvious fulfillment in obscure, deep and underground electronics. His set is deep house-techno going through ambient atmospheares and melting with different performance situations, without anything really being defined or predictable.

The man has always had a strong flair for music production, which produced the collaboration with Prologue Music and, in 2011, the first “Voices From the Lake” EP release. The Voices From The Lake project – Neel’s collaboration with Donato Dozzy – grew from both their professional and social history. It’s the result of a long, hot summer in the studio, working side by side. The VFTL project already has an album scheduled for early 2012 as well as an intense live tour focused on the interaction between digital and analogue machines.

Neel’s solo album will be released in 2012 on Canadian label Silent Season in addition to other stuff on Prologue.
